My path into acupuncture began when I was twelve, growing up in Canada. In the space of three years I saw my parents go through three hip operations and two cancer treatments. It left me with a question I have never put down: is there a better way to help people live a healthy and full life?
I trained in Chinese medicine and opened my clinic in Lausanne in 2006. I hold the Swiss federal diploma in naturopathy, specialising in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I studied for many years with Daniel Daria and with Dr Richard Tan, known for the Balance Method.
From my study of Chinese, Korean and Japanese acupuncture I developed my own approach, Unified Acupuncture Theory. It is a way of understanding how the channels work together, so that different traditions can be used as one coherent whole. I teach it to other acupuncturists in Europe and Australia. I have also written two books and several articles on acupuncture.
For practitioners: Unified Acupuncture Theory →Over the years my work has grown beyond needles. I trained in Compassionate Inquiry® and have been a certified practitioner since 2023. I have worked with the Animas Valley Institute and the Wild Mind approach, as well as with liberation psychology, a decolonisation of the therapeutic world. Alongside these come years of study in nature-based approaches, depth psychology, eco-psychology and a psychology of being in relationship with the more-than-human world.
After all these years, a few things stay constant.
I listen. I begin with you, not with a plan for you.
The body has its say. Whatever we talk about, we also listen for how it lands in the body.
No judgement. Whatever you bring is welcome.
Room for more. Many people come for one reason and find there is more they want to explore. That is welcome. So is stopping there.
“You will not find the limits of the soul, though you travel every road, so deep is its measure.”
There is no wrong place to begin.
